Team NSLS places third in the 2014 Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships
HALIFAX-August, 2014-The Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service placed third for overall club at the 2014 Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships (CSLC), behind second place club Toronto Police Lifeguard Service and the first place St Laurent Masters. The 14th annual CSLC's took place from August 22-24 at Parlee Beach in New-Brunswick, with more than 150 competitors from across Canada.
Fletch Selig placed second in Men’s 16-19 Pentathlon and third in Beach Sprint
Kathleen Belliveau placed second in Women’s 16-19 Board Race and third in the Open Pentathlon
Matt Curry, Troy Hillier, Matt Laustsen and Fletch Selig placed first in Men’s 16-19 Rescue Tube Rescue and second in Beach Relay
Gabe Quenneville placed second in Men’s Open Beach Run
Matt Laustsen and Fletch Selig placed first in Men’s 16-19 Board Rescue
Emily Hickey placed first in Women’s 16-19 Beach Sprint
We’d also like to congratulate our Australian exchange guards Jesse and Adam, who placed first in Men’s Open Board Rescue. Jesse also placed third in the Men’s Open Board Race.
