MS. MAUREEN MACDONALD: I'd like to draw the attention of the House to the east gallery, the very back row, where we are joined today by a number of representatives of Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service.
The Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service will resume supervision at three beaches in the province today, Aug. 31, until end of day Thursday, Sept. 2.
Sunday, Aug. 29 will be the last day of beach supervision for most of the 22 beaches supervised by the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service.
The stream that crosses Bayswater Beach has been closed to patrons due to high bacteria levels. Signs will be posted and the lifeguards will be keeping beach patrons out of the stream.

Lake Ellenwood Beach has been re-opened by the Medical Officer of Health after water testing revealed low bacteria levels. Check the NSLS Beach Hotline for current conditions at (902)429-0635.
The Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service (NSLS) is once again looking for seasonal lifeguards to work at various beaches throughout the province from the end of June to the end of August.
